You buy at the end of the tests, not before. Payment is handled by Stripe on Stripe's own page, so your card details never touch this site. Refunds run fourteen days, no questions asked, and the pricing page has the full breakdown.
As soon as the payment clears you land on your dossier at a permanent private link, and we email that link to the address you gave at checkout. It is the only key to the page — there is no account to log back into, which is why we never ask you to make one. If you lose it, write to us from that same address.
What is free, and what the $19 buys
The line is between a type and you. Anything true of everyone who lands on Soft Summer is free and public, permanently. Anything that came out of your own answers is the dossier.

How a result is decided
Arithmetic you can check
Each question feeds exactly one axis and moves it by a published weight. The page shows you the sum, and the same answers always produce the same result.
No model, deliberately
No machine learning, no image recognition, no language model. The scoring code ships with the page — the questionnaires finish with the network unplugged.
It says when it is unsure
A result is called clear only when no single answer, moved one step, would change it. Most people come back on a border — and being told which two types you sit between beats a confident single name.
